We were all on tenterhooks at the end of last year as our amazing MD Emma McManus, was 38 weeks pregnant when we achieved 4th place at the LABBS Convention! Needless to say, we were all overjoyed when Emma and Paul celebrated the birth of their beautiful baby girl they have called Maisie Katherine. To say she was much longed for would be a huge understatement and the Red Rosettes, who
comprise not only her mum, her Grandmother (Teresa Phillips) ,her Aunty (Laura Phillips), and her
Cousin (Emily Dearden) have been totally besotted with every picture we have seen.
Maisie made her first public appearance at our Christmas concert , and needless to say, the broody
chorus couldn’t take our eyes off her. Apparently she loves our Convention ballad but isn’t as keen on the up tempo!
We have been wonderfully supported by Deputy Chorus Manager, Teresa Phillips, and our music team members Helen Jones and Stacy Bridge who have kept chorus going, rehearsing ,directing and performing at all our Christmas concerts and singouts in Emma’s absence. Emma is now back directing chorus leaving Maisie in Paul’s very capable hands.
