When Sue Wilbraham offered her talents as social secretary, we knew she’s have some great ideas for organised fun times, and her first suggestion – a barge trip, proved to be an absolute winner. Setting off from Guy’s Thatched Hamlet, we each brought a dish for what turned into an epic Jacob’s join (we have some of Lancashire’s best bakers on our books) and enjoyed the delights of the countryside with a fully-stocked, floating bar. Throw in a few songs, and the afternoon was perfected.
